What do your fees include?

Surgeon's and anesthesiologist's fees, facility costs, post-surgical garments, and products.

Do I need someone to stay with me after my surgery?

Yes, you will need someone to sign you out of the surgical facility and stay with you for the initial 24 hours after your procedure. If you don't have someone to stay with you, we will be happy to arrange private-duty nursing.

When can I go back to exercising?

Most procedures allow for some form of exercise three weeks after surgery. Many patients can return to exercise three to six weeks post-surgery. We encourage patients to start walking immediately after surgery.

What is the difference between general and twilight (IV sedation) anesthesia?

Both procedures require a board-certified anesthesiologist at the surgical facility. The anesthesiologist determines the type of anesthesia at the time of surgery. Both are equally safe.

Do I stay overnight, or do I go home after my surgical procedure?

Following most procedures, patients go home the same day of surgery. If deemed necessary by Dr. Alizadeh, you will stay with a private-duty nurse or at one of our partner hospitals overnight.
