Benefits of a Natural Breast Lift for New York Area Women
Breast lift surgery, also called mastopexy surgery, addresses breast ptosis, or sagging, one of the most common complaints we hear from NYC-area women as they age. Drooping, deflated breasts can be a result of pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight loss, heredity, or just the natural aging process. Fortunately, breast lift surgery can restore a firm, pert breast appearance, giving women a lift in their looks and self-esteem.
Cosmoplastic Surgery's board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Kaveh Alizadeh worked for many years on improving the traditional mastopexy procedure to minimize scarring and maximize results. The result is his trademarked surgical technique, called the NaturaBra™ Breast Lift, which eliminates redundant skin, tightens the surrounding breast tissue, and utilizes the patient's own skin as an internal bra, giving the breasts a more youthful, "perky" appearance that truly lasts.
To schedule your consultation for breast lift surgery, contact Cosmoplastic Surgery today. Dr. Alizadeh would be happy to speak with you at one of his three convenient office locations in Long Island, Manhattan, and Westchester, New York. Request your appointment online, email our office, or phone 212.348.0100 (Manhattan) / 516.439.5010 (Long Island).
The NaturaBra™ technique also eliminates the need for an extra incision on the breast, which is why many of our satisfied patients call it the most natural and nearly scarless breast lift in metropolitan New York. In fact, this procedure has allowed many of the top Hollywood and Broadway stars to walk the red carpet showing their cleavage and fuller breasts without a bra.
Among breast lift plastic surgeons in the NYC area, few are as well regarded as board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Kaveh Alizadeh and for good reason. Chief of Plastic Surgery at Westchester Medical Center and Associate Professor of Surgery at New York Medical College, Dr. Alizadeh has published research and participated in clinical trials pertaining to breast lift techniques and technologies. He also teaches other plastic surgeons to perform the NaturaBra™ Breast Lift technique, which improves aesthetic outcomes for women seeking a long-term solution to breast ptosis.
The NaturaBra™ Breast Lift procedure involves making two short incisions from each nipple to the breast crease and creating a triangular flap of skin on each breast. This flap, which remains attached to an essential blood supply, is then carefully rotated and placed inside the breast to form a natural, inner bra that will support a woman's breasts for the rest of her life.
This inner bra, which is anchored to the rib cage for stability and longevity, resembles an internal support hammock for the breast and is the primary reason Dr. Alizadeh has achieved such positive, lasting outcomes. Results of traditional breast lift, in contrast, do not stand the test of time because the skin and breast tissue, pulled by gravity, eventually sag within a few short years.
For patients who are bothered not only by breast sagging but also by poor breast contour or loss of breast volume, Dr. Alizadeh may recommend combining breast lift surgery with NaturaGlow™ Fat Transfer to improve the overall breast shape and contour. Using gentle, atraumatic HydraSolve® liposuction, Dr. Alizadeh carefully harvests fat cells from the abdomen, thighs, or buttocks—wherever there is a reasonable surplus—and then processes these cells to obtain purified, healthy ones. He then injects these fat cells into the breast to create a more rounded, youthful breast aesthetic.
For patients who desire both a breast lift and a cup-size increase, Dr. Alizadeh recommends combining breast augmentation with mastopexy to achieve beautiful, satisfying results. Based on numerous factors, he will recommend saline or silicone breast implants that will help you achieve the breast fullness and profile you desire.
The NaturaBra™ Breast Lift is performed as an outpatient procedure under general anesthesia, and it takes approximately 2.5 hours to complete. Dr. Alizadeh performs NaturaBra™ Breast Lift surgery at one of many well-equipped, state-of-the-art facilities certified by the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Hospital Organizations (JCAHO) and / or the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc (AAAASF). These certifications are meant to assure patients that surgical facilities meet or exceed the highest standard of care. Your surgery is performed in a boutique accredited ambulatory surgery center with complete attention to your needs.
Over the past decade and throughout thousands of cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery procedures performed, Dr. Alizadeh has worked with board-certified anesthesiologists to develop improved safety protocols for his patients. He and his team promise the very best hands-on care and make every effort to help you experience a smooth, uneventful recovery from breast lift surgery.
During the breast lift procedure itself, Dr. Alizadeh begins by making two short incisions from the outer edge of the nipple, or areola, to the base of the breast, creating a triangular flap. Although some of its epithelial cells are removed, this flap remains attached to critical blood vessels, which ensures optimal healing. Dr. Alizadeh then carefully rotates the flap, inserts it inside the breast, and attaches it to the rib cage, forming a supportive, permanent sling around the nipple-areola complex. Once he closes the incisions with absorbable sutures, the entire breast is lifted. There are no sutures to remove later on, and you can shower the very next day and ambulate as tolerated.

After breast lift surgery, you can expect to return home in the care of a friend or loved one. For a few days, you will be required to wear a surgical bra, and after that, a very supportive sports bra for approximately three weeks. Most of our patients are able to return to work in one week, provided their jobs do not require heavy lifting or strenuous work, and can participate in light exercise after three weeks. Dr. Alizadeh and his staff will give you explicit instructions for aftercare, and he will closely monitor your progress in follow-up appointments.
