What To Expect From Your Botox® Injections
This simple, 15-minute office procedure requires no preparation beforehand, unless you have elected to take supplements to minimize bruising. If needed, Dr. Alizadeh will apply a numbing anesthetic cream to the injection site(s) for your increased comfort. He will then carefully ease the medication into the target areas, and you may feel only a small amount of pressure from the needle. For anxious patients we even provide ProNox to help keep you calm and relaxed.
Following your treatment, you will be instructed not to massage the area for 48 hours, but you may wash your face and apply makeup directly afterward. Due to the effortless aftercare, many of our patients schedule their Long Island BOTOX® appointments during their lunch hour.
Results from treatment begin to appear in approximately three days, and full results are visible in two weeks. The results from your first BOTOX® treatment will last approximately three months. Dr. Alizadeh's patients have reported that each consecutive application lasts slightly longer than the one before; some eventually schedule their maintenance every six months.
